Faces of Ludwigsburg is a Participatory Intervention in public space created for the Neuland-Festival (24.09.2021 – 26.09.2021) by a group of students from the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg and Akademie für Darstellende Kunst Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg, Germany.
The goal is to help draw out the hidden magic around us by using each individual’s playful and unique perspective to create art using the often overlooked details in a public space. This whimsical journey began at the Franck-Areal, where visitors were given thousands of googly eyes from our booth and sent out to create new characters all throughout the space.
At the exit, and in other parts of the city, eye stickers designed by community submissions are continuously made available to bring the city of Ludwigsburg to life through these faces.
